I visited last week for lunch with my step daughter and our dog. The cafe was pretty full but despite this there wasn’t a queue to order and service was good. We had great lattes, a super hearty bowl with tuna, and a Mexican wrap for lunch which were fresh and very tasty. We finished off with delicious chocolate brownies which are baked in house. The staff in Baobab are friendly and efficient, and all seem to love dogs our dog had plenty of fuss and a treat! This cafe ticks every box well run, lots of great food and drink choices and a lovely vibe.
Came in for lunch but it was too loud and busy at 12.30pm, so went to another quieter cafe nearby and popped back here a few hours later as we wanted to try. Ordered teas and cake, impressed by the vegan selection and the staff were lovely. The tea was fine but the cakes (both of them) were so dry. I had the coffee cake and it felt dry tasted stale. Can’t remember ever leaving cake, but I only had a couple of forkfuls. I hate waste, but stale cake is just a big no from me I’m afraid.
I had the heavy salad, turning my back on delicious looking sandwiches, and it was wonderful. Fresh imaginative and beautifully presented. Staff were lovely and friendly and liked my dog. Def a must-return. Good value too.
Our favourite cafe in Loughborough. Staff are so friendly, food is great and has a great atmosphere. Good value for money, take BlueLightCard and dogs are welcome Dogs seem to get there own special welcome.
