We arrived in Sospel for a visit quite late for lunch, but were welcomed here at 2.30 and had a lovely entrecôte steak with great frites and salad, and a stunning lemon tart ice cream with limoncello. The service was brisk and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. This is a great spot for people watching, it's all going on between 3 and 3.30!We've been coming to Sospel on and off for 45 years and find it reassuringly little changed in all that while, this being one of the social hubs in the town and a regular haunt for the locals.

The plat du jour was steak and chips or salad. It was promptly and pleasantly served. the meat was good which I think the French sometimes struggle with but not here. It is obviously a very popular place with the locals and work people. That says much about a place.

Waiter had a little English and we had a little French, but he was very patient and friendly, so we muddled our way through. Lunch in the square proved good quality, waiter was attentive and accommodating. Has our recommendation.

restaurant very similar to many others in the area, as it is inevitable. but at the end you find dishes that please everyone; places inside and outside, new and clean bathrooms, prices in line with the area.
