I was really looking forward to my dining experience, Bar Brose was recommended to me by a colleague. I booked well in advance for an early Friday dinner (6.30pm) on the 24th of March, however was seated in the front bar area. we opted for the feast, however had no idea what we were getting which I was ok with as it added to uniqueness, but it all went downhill from there. food was presented terribly and not explained to us. everything was tasty but it was spoit by the plating. the raw fish was rough off-cuts, not attractive garnish, the late night sandwich was just a flat full sandwich, not cut up, just slapped flat on the plate. the beef looked like vomit but again once I flipped it over t...

on Saturday, 19th august we visited the restaurant etelek. we were very disappointed for several reasons: 1. the table and the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit. 2. the music was very burdensome and we couldn't hear what made our. experience very frustrating. 3. eating was less than delicious, less than average and not justified the amount of money we spent. (we have paid $300 for 4 people and had only 2 alcohol drinks between us four) 4. the restaurant advertised as Hungarian, as Hungarian itself, eating did not even remind me of my roots. it is very surprising that the pop-up restaurant is so high rated. we will certainly have our first and last experience there.
Heard mixed reviews of the place so we tried it with a group of friends. A large table of 10 was booked but unfortunately not all could make it. Still had to pay for all 10 so a warning to charge your friends who cancel on you! The dinner was a hit and miss. The lamb and beef were fantastic as were some of the other dishes. Some were a bit too much of a fusion (gnocchi with Chinese sausages?). The 7 or 8 course dinner (lost count) was only $60 though! So fantastic value. Obviously spent more on drinks but that's normal.isnt it?
Wow, what a great little wine bar with an expertly chosen wine list and great Eastern European inspired menu influenced (with a touch of 'Oz ' . Shared plates, fascinating flavors and textures that vegetarians, in particular, will love. Great service staff are a credit to all....The test is always to ask 2 questions will you recommend Bar Brose to others? And, will you return? 'Yes ' , most certainly ' it 's an easy answer after such a great night. Book a table now
Loved this place. Walked into the smell of freshly baked cheesy bread... They know the way to a girls heart! The rest of the evening was delightful. Cocktails perfect, wine list carefully selected, menu carefully constructed with a delicious variety of dishes to try. We ordered a few too many entrees to try the mains or desserts, but that is the beauty of a tapas style menu. Great for a casual evening with good food, wine and friends.
I had read a few reviews of this place recently and wanted to try it. This would have to be one of the best small bar/restaurants I have visited for a long time. The venue is lovely and the waitstaff are fantastic. A very friendly...and knowledgable team excellent service. The food amazing! An interesting menu enjoyed everything we had. Recommend the late night sandwich and the barrata. Delicious. Highly recommend a visit.
Surprisingly light and inventive Ashkenazi cuisine. We ordered the tasting menu (which was a reasonable $65). There were a lot of cleverly cooked vegetables the parsnip schnitzel was a winner for me and tasty breads. We expected to be weighed down by dishes...like meat and zaft and gefilte fish. But we were pleasantly surprised by the deft and refined cooking as well as the unusual flavours. Well worth a visit.
this place is very noisy with crispy but not tasty eating. elaborate and not specialized in cocktails. kellner looked unprofessional and I would have to say everything in a normal, forgotten experience. we were thrilled to try a new place...and different, but could not wait to leave Book a table now
chefs are women and the perfect setting for the night of a girl. Eating is delicious, full of taste and different! weine and cocktails are also exceptional. the menu was changed regularly, but was always interesting and fresh! sad that there is nothing else. bring it back!

"I was satisfied with the food. Burgers are between $14.90 and $15.90. The drinks are more expensive than other places, and the free Wi-Fi is slow and stops working intermittently."
