we had no choice because it was the only restaurant open on a Sunday evening on a saturday. we had dinner on the terrace where furniture is a little old and disappointed. My wife had taken in the entrance of the foie gras served completely decomposed and warm to the insipid flavor of the bad foie gras found in the rays of the large surfaces.For me I took eggs poached with epoisse cheese, unfortunately the toasted tarts were strongly imbibed by the taste of garlic that it is difficult to appreciate the subtlety of the mixture "egg cheese-cake". The main dishes, meat and fish seemed to be going straight out of the freezer from the large area of the corner to the hygienic a little doubtful! dam...
An odd one cycling through France and staying in the sleepy town of Seurre where to eat? This place looks OK....hang on it serves a typical French menu but then the last 3 pages are a complex sushi menu with all the sashimi too. Well we thought sounds intriguing but surely will be compromised in quality (also a long way from the sea). Delighted to find excellent quality sushi dishes alongside rib of Veal and Lamb with perfect frites. Unexpectedly excellent and service was polite, prompt and personable. Still intrigued but some previous reviews explain the background of this successful culinary mash up.
This is a very nice restaurant on the banks of the River Saone. Seating inside or on a covered terrace with views of the river. Wide range of food including a menu du jour at good value. A la carte good and at reasonable prices considering the portions. The salads are a major meal. I had kidneys in Sauce Tony which was absolutely great. Everything is freshly prepared and of a high quality. They have some very expensive winds but if you choose carefully (like the Rose du Var at 11 euros) it's easy to get quality at a good price. We were`in town 2 days and went twice!
During our week long trip down the rivers Seille and Saone we stopped off for two nights in Seurre a delightful quiet town on the river Saone. The chef is quintissential french. I will call it a fusion restaurant as his Asian wife produces great sushi (I enjoyed some on our second visit to the restaurant). There was a good vibe in the place and the food was up to the standard we had been lucky enough to enjoy during our whole trip. Being close to moorings it's a good option for people like us traveling the river. Book a table now
We discovered this restaurant thanks to friends of seurre, Japanese cuisine at the top, square of exceptional lamb, a very friendly service, a pleasant terrace, with a superb view, super nice bosses and a passionate chef and the baby.................. we return very often and we will make discover this establishment.
dinner with family, terrace with view on the pleasant saône. special atmosphere for 'non-local' dishes are of quality, the choice of wines (verre) is complete. prices are good markets.
Thank you for your quick service on Saturday night, we didn't have much time and we each took a large salad as a main dish. That's enough! soon on this simple but pleasant terrace.

We didnt expect the sushi to be as fresh as it was. Chef onsite is from Japan and it is obvious when the sushi is tasted. 100% great.
