3 years ago I got the tapas cookbook for a birthday. The more I read in it (does not try until then), the more the desire to strike up there and try through the dishes. for a ruhrgebietler a not quite small trip of about 550 km.Even then in May 2017 there was finally a chance to translate the wish into the did.The expectations were correspondingly great and correspondingly tensed we were.It started with a dry cava, balanced frusty, with some acid and nicely dry.The olives were then made to be more fun and decided on where we started. no worries, we don't have a knot in the grump, but my wife and I have quite different tastes. Both of us went to the ground and was an excellent entree. Afterwar...

We odered olives and bread with artichoke spread for starters and two tapas selections, one vegetarian and one meaty. For starters we got only olives and after that we waited about 30 min for our main course. The bread with artichoke spread came together with main course. That part was ok. The main course was a disappointment. Vegetarian selection was made out of deep fried food which was mostly potatoes. Fried potatoes, tortilla, 3 deep fried spinach-potato croquets, fried green peppers and a slice of grilled bread with mashed tomato on top. The spinach croquets were undercooked, it felt like they were deep frozen and then deep fried. The middle was mushy and gluey. Everything on that plate...

It was a pleasant evening, so we sat outside at the Bar Raval and did some people watching while eating tapas. The restaurant is across from the Gorlitzer Park in an arty, diverse district of Berlin (Kreuzberg). The park and casual sidewalk seating gave us the feel of an urban picnic. My husband and I shared the hot mixed tapas plate, which was plenty for two and left us with a very reasonable bill. Everything we ate and the wines we chose were of good quality. We had no reservation, but they took us in and provided excellent service and high quality food. Inside the restaurant is slicker, so guests can select the atmosphere they prefer. Daniel Bruhl was away filming a new movie, but we had...

because a cl game was announced by barcelona we had ordered a table, which is also recommended at such locations. it was full, most of them well-painted. the mixed tapas plate very tasty and also the red wine (ondari) per glass very good. the service was always ready and friendly despite the many guests. not cheap, a tapas plate, 3 wein and a scorle 36€, but good. the fc barcelona had no chance in the game, so the mood was somewhat damped. clear recommendation!

around 19 clock on a Sunday at 20 degrees you can't take a seat outside, since the terrace has to close eventually. also with the note that you would only stay until 20 o'clock, I got the answer that the terrace would never be empty otherwise. understand this logic! smaller tipp: you could say the terrace closes at x clock. Many thanks for the super service and beautiful greeting from your own kiez. really poor.

we arrived on a Saturday night at 10 a.m. and could not eat outside, because we were told that the neighbours complain about the confusion. the interior of the restaurant is large and there are many busy waiters between the different tables. we have eaten some good tapas, some very good, others normal. I might have expected a little less in the bill, but overall I would say a good Spanish restaurant.

We stopped here for a drink after a long day of exploring Berlin in the sunshine. There was a good selection of reasonably priced drinks and I enjoyed my couple of glasses of cava. This is right on the edge of the park and the outside is perfect for people watchers. Relaxed, bohemian and friendly. Serves tapas which looked pretty nice too.
