This is the sort of restaurant that you like on vacation because of its local vibe. Everybody wants lunch on Martinique and by calling in twenty minutes before opening time (midday) we were able to reserve a table. Certainly the restaurant was sold out by 12.05. The situation wins it. On the edge of the sea, and if you can blagg a seafront table you would never care about the food. It's the Caribbean. There is plenty of choice on the menu and the service is efficient. So efficient the head waiter (she's definitely in charge) is going to make sure you get the meal she believes you need, in my case double rice. But my french is very poor. We stumbled at this restaurant by accident when we went around the historical site of St. Pierre. We have had good breakfast but when we saw the restaurant was bussy, we knew that this is a good one and we like to try their food. We sat at the corner nearby the edge, thus we could see the entire room of the restaurant and as well enjoy the activities from the yachts which harboured on the sea. Beautifull view. My meal and from my husband was delicious. The owner came special to greet us and the service is fast. I recommend people who visit St. Pierre in Martinique to stop by La Vague, at least to try their various drink.

We were visiting Saint Pierre on a Saturday (market day) and the restaurant was recommended in my guide. It was early just before noon but as we hadn't reserved, they gave us one of the few tables still available. It should come as no surprise since the restaurant is overlooking the beach, and the prices are reasonable. We had accras, chicken colombo and coconut blancmange. Everything was very good and portions are big. A good address in Saint Pierre!

We really looked forward to having a good meal at the restaurant with our friends. We ordered the fish and the lamb stew. Fish was super dry, the lamb was a total of 4 small pieces on bone, served with two spoons of rice and some old green beans. Dessert wasn't much better , 3 pieces of banana swimming in rum. What a huge disappointment for us all.
