Zurita is what the locals would call a chiringuito (chee-ring-ghee-toh), i.e. an informal bar-restaurant. It's literally on the edge of the sea and beside a beach that disappears at high tide. It also looks to me that some days, the waves might actually surprise its customers! There are no tables indoors, only outdoors. It gets very busy at weekends. No reservations. You arrive, take a number and wait your turn. The worst time is between 2 and 4 pm. Be warned. Weekdays are probably much quieter. Food is all right, prices aren't exactly cheap, but sort of average, I guess. Don't expect fancy stuff but you get the local favourites such as papas arrugadas, croquetas, ropa vieja, pulpo, calamare...
El servicio pésimo te hacía sentir mal el trato que daban, tuvimos que esperar casi una hora para que nos ofrecieran en primer lugar una mesa que ya estaba libre desde hace una hora, la comida un robo: un cuenco de 8-10 gambas 10€ (a 1€ la gamba). No sé cómo pueden pretender que la gente les vuelva con ese trato y esos precios. No iré nunca más. No se lo subido que lo tienen pero no se trata a sí a los clientes que van a gastar el dinero en tu restaurante. I visit Gran Canaria often and saw the beach and Restaurant from the plane one time. I remembered it on arrival at the airport, seeing that the flight was six hours delayed!!!! and thought it worth a visit You can walk, its about a mile, but I still had the hire car . I've been back many times since, last time the February and my grown up children still want us to call if we have an afternoon flight home. Food is home cooked and excellent, prices for locals, beautiful beach view the planes fly overhead! .

Dude spent 30 minutes spraying down the place with his power washer, then decided to pour strong cleaning chemicals all over the floor, which, on his next pass with the power washer, washed directly into the ocean. Disgusting that someone who benefits from a beautiful location would contribute directly to damaging it. Don’t eat here if you care at all about the environment or having clean oceans.
La terraza tiene unas magníficas vistas a la tranquila playa de Ojos de Garza. Es el sitio ideal para picar/comer algo después de un buen baño. Admiten perros, pero en las mesas de los extremos, para no molestar al resto de comensales. Al estar muy juntas las mesas, no se permite fumar. La comida es buena y el servicio, correcto.
Great place with wonderful view and realy good Spanish food. There are not many places like this one on the island. The waiter didn’t speak English but he was totaly helpful and funny. Totaly recomended!
