This place is awesome! I lived right down the street for over a year while it was open and never went there for anything more than a drink at the bar. Of course once I moved, I made the effort to stop in for a meal with a friend when I was in the Highlands again.Definitely try the Boar Fries, the Alligator Tacos and one of the Chicken Tacos. The food is unique, delicious and the vibe of the whole place is great. Sit near the bar if you like sports, great vantage point for the TVs.Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an interesting spot in the Highlands off Tennyson
If you've tried Barbed Wire Reef in the past but haven't tried them since they revamped the place/menu, you're missing out! The food was stellar, and the atmosphere was amazing. We went on Monday when they have all day Happy Hour and I highly recommend it! Great quality drinks and food for a reasonable price! We also got the Chili Relleno from the dinner menu, and it was fresh, tasty, and unique. Will definitely be a new go-to spot, just off of Tennyson.
Love the ambiance the only thing I don’t like very much was how loud your Dj was, the longer we were there the louder the music got. But the food was delicious and it was so fun to try exotic meats like crocodile
Great burgers! Ambiance leaves a little to be desired, but the food truck inside the wall is pretty cool. Considering That it started as a food truck, I think it’s worth the visit

We have gone here and come back a few times. It is consistent and a cute vibe. The birria enchilada was really great.
It was a little bit warm on the patio due to radiant heat coming off the fencing. Other than that, it was wonderful.
