My family of five visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were impressed with the delicious food and excellent service provided by Tina, Shell, and the rest of the team. We all opted for the 5 small plates option, and all 25 plates were brought out simultaneously and in the correct order. Empty plates were promptly cleared away, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all of us.
Been many times to this pub but this time was well below the normal standard. While the food ordered chicken tikka masala one with chip and one with rice) was nice unfortunately the portions were more ‘child sized’ and not felt to be worth the cost. I would not be returning till after the Christmas menu is removed.
First visit to this fabulous old pub really enjoyed our light lunch and wraps and of course a drink. Spotlessly clean Shell Tina provided an excellent customer experience wish we lived nearer for the Ghost Spirit events as it fascinates us such history from 1561 highly recommend and we will be back thanks xx
What a disappointment! Yes a very old pub but perhaps the fake books painted on the walls should have warned us. At least 3 of the dishes ordered were unavailable and from the size of the miniscule portions, the place was presumably running out of the plastic, tasteless food that it did have available. Book a table now
The fantastic service from the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. They couldn't do enough for us. The food was great value. Jacque was charming and well-mannered. Will definitely visit again soon.
Day out with friend had a great lunch, locals friendly and welcoming. Recommend the chicken bacon burger, definately going back old world charm in a jacobean setting...perfect thank you.
Our fave place. Always feel comfortable and welcome. Food is great and great prices our kids love it here. Justine and shell are always friendly and chatty and go the extra mile.
