I met a friend for the first time since March The last time, we had eaten here, so it only seemed fitting to come back.If you want to feel indulged, Barolo East is for you! From baratta to watermelon salad, we were happy from the appetizers through dessert. Their homemade pasta is out of this world; the special was cavatelli with short rib ragu. It was outstanding! We also ordered a veal cutlet Milanese that was amazing. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Light, and perfectly sweet, it complemented our after dinner port perfectly!Can't say enough about the service, we felt well taken care of. And I'll definitely be back!Yes, it's pricey, but everyone deserves a good indulgence every now and then
The fish dish had a strong fishy smell/taste and was very salty. Warm water served had a strange kettle taste. Saving grace Gave the feedback at the end of the meal and the restaurant waived the cost of the fish. They offered to serve a new plate which I declined.
The food was good and well prepared. The problem as I've found in many restaurants is that it tends to be the seasoning. In this case it was a great meal but tasted bland. That was the only problem. The service, and ambience was excellent.
We were in NYC for weeks, tried many restaurants in this area during our stay, found Barolo East to be the best in terms of food, service, ambiance….loved it and highly recommend

The food was great and so was the service. The bacon wrapped scallops that our server recommended were delicious. We also had the lobster stuffed ravioli and it was fantastic.
The evening was perfect from beginning to end. Food/Service was excellent. Would recommend as a great place to enjoy friends and family. Plan on returning soon.
