Yesterday was my first visit to this restaurant, and I don't intend to return. We went for lunch, but the food was underwhelming. The highlight was the beer-battered onion rings. I ordered the fish, while my friend chose a chicken sandwich. She remarked that her sandwich tasted as if it had been fried in fish grease. The most disappointing aspect was our waiter, Jordan. After taking our orders and serving us, he spent the remainder of the time chatting and laughing with the bartender and another patron at the bar, despite the restaurant not being busy. The customer service was alright. The hostess forgot we were waiting outside to place our order, so after about 15 minutes, we decided to go back inside. Eventually, a male waiter told us to find a seat, and then took our drink orders. Unfortunately, the food took an excessively long time to arrive. I found the greens to be overly sweet, which I didn’t like at all. The catfish was decent, but I was disappointed to find only sweet pickles instead of dill pickles, which I find unappetizing. ?Twas the day of my Birthday and all through my house, my belly rumbled and even gave a great shout. Thus my excursion to Barrelhouse began. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly server. After a short look at the menu, I decided upon the chickenfinger dinner with green beans and tater tots as my sides. Everything was superb, except the green beans. They lacked seasoningand tasted as if they had been delivered from my high school?s cafeteria! However, three points for the atmosphere, service, andthe rest of my entree.
This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a unique menu and outstanding customer service. Michael provided exceptional service and made excellent food and drink recommendations. The tater tots were seasoned in a way I’ve never tasted before, and the pimento cheese bites were fantastic. For dessert, I enjoyed a brownie that was the perfect conclusion to a wonderful meal. The Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice and was generously garnished with various toppings.

Arrived just before closing, we were seated promptly and service was excellent. There was great live entertainment and the drinks were well made. I can't recall our gentlemen server's name but very personalable, familiar with menu items and offerinsight on choices and accommodating to our preferences, he reads his customers well through brief conversations.
Good service. Ordered the Brisket Flatbread for an appetizer, it was delicious! Will definitely order again. I also ordered the fish and chips. The fries were okay, nothing amazing. But the fish was great, very well done along with their house tartarsauce. If you like Margaritas order their house margarita. Nice twist on a classic.
When you come in make sure you check the ketchup bottles. Brown/black around the rim. Mold!! Found this on multiple bottles when trying to find a clean one. The bottle pictured is after asking one from behind the bar still mold. Also had a weird taste. Be careful when ordering fish, tasted a little past it?s prime.

Brisket tater tot's were good. Everything else was average or a little less.. not a fan of how they season their food and our drinks ran completely dry multiple times. Probably wouldn't come back unless I was across the street like I was today. They also charge for refills on tea..
Nice place but they were understaffed so service was quite slow. However, the staff were all friendly. The food was quite good and we will return some time.
