My daughter chose Barroco to celebrate her 21st birthday with her friends and me (5 of us in total). We all loved the atmosphere, food, drinks, and the birthday merengada (an ice cream dessert--ours had a brownie, cookies, and Oreos). We had told the waitress we were celebrating my daughter 's birthday and they put a large sparkler in it (we had ordered one to share) and had the staff sing happy birthday when they brought it to our table. Great place with great live music and great staff. When you come in, go straight to the bar, the have lime carving with tequila shot (and good tequila, not your bottom shelf kind . As there were 4 people in our party, we were able to try few things: guacamole (good , Colombian plantain soup (very good , Arepa with braised beef (very good, I would have rated it excellent but the dough was very thick and got a bit chewy (and that 's why I gave it 4 stars with yuca fries, pulled chicken from the grill (didn 't try it but my friend said it was very good . We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The staff welcomed us with a limoncello shot at the door, and they were lovely and attentive throughout our visit. Our drinks were delicious and perfectly made. The food was freshly prepared, authentic, and flavorful. We enjoyed dancing and soaking up the great atmosphere. We will definitely return in the future. Our server was wonderful and friendly. He gave great recommendations on what to order. The arepas are delicious, if you have not tried one, you must! This is definitely a good spot to visit for authentic food, and the ambiance is awesome!
Inside is crazy noisy. Not pleasant and not conducive to any conversation. The patio was great. Food is fantastic. Service was problematic but I think that was our particular server, not the venue in general. Will definitely go back
Fun new experience...interesting food, nice live music. Seating is very tight, cold fan blowing on us and very bad acoustics so difficult to carry on a conversation. Appreciated a new cuisine to try but don’t think I’ll return.
Lot’s of fun with the entire team. Good happy hour specials (Drinks and apps). However, the food was wonderful and different which something I think we all love. I will certainly be back and this is going in the top ten!

Great food! A lot of fun. They don’t need the music so loud. There is already a sense of fun and excitement. Would rather not have to shout across the table. Server was very helpful in sharing info on Columbian food.
