Made a small order for 2. Owner was there in the takeaway lounge section and he was a brilliant guy. The lounge was really comfortable, I could have eaten my meal there it was that nice. They threw in free popadoms, which for a meagre £15 order was very kind. Garlic and coriander paratha was one of the nicest we’ve ever had. Kabuli with the chickpeas was fantastic. This restaurant has been going strong for as long as we’ve lived in the area and it’s never lost its sense of community spirit or standards. We haven’t eaten here for a few years but will make sure to come back soon. Great place and great menu too.
My sister introduced us to this restaurant years ago and now every time we visit her we insist that she books a table for us, and we’ve never ever been disappointed. I’ve tried a few things on the extensive menu, most recently the Lamb Ampasha (which is now my favourite, it is truly delicious! and all have been great. Portion sizes are just right, naan breads buttery and fluffy and service also is excellent friendly and efficient. If I lived nearer I’d be in there every couple of weeks and never get tired of the menu or experience its awards are well deserved.
All the dishes tried were extremely flavorful and the group I enjoyed the food with also said the same. I would go as far to say their butter chicken is the I've had, and that is not an overstatement. Their take on the peri peri chicken is something I've not tried elsewhere and would be one of my new go to dishes. All round a great place with delicious food. I would love to dine in next time to get the full experience and try some more of their cuisine. Safe to say I'm eager to plan a trip back very soon!
Absolutely horrendous customer service. The manager in particular was patronising and behaved disgustingly towards myself and my girlfriend. They even got the order wrong. We didn't want to make a scene during the meal so we waited until the end of the meal to speak to the manager and explain that we didn't appreciate being spoken to in that manner. He then proceeded to do exactly the same again. Appalling all round. I would avoid at all costs. Much better India restaurants in the local area.

I have to say this was the worst Indian food I every had. The only good thing was the beer. Lamb tikka starter as 4 dry lumps of lamb and a limp salad leaf. Wife starter was two Prawns in big bowl full of what looked like soup!! My main was Rogan, didn’t look normal to me and very tasteless. Wife, had Seafood Sizzler … 1 prawn, and two bits of frozen fish ….. tasteless We ended up complaining and some money was deducted from the bill. Stay well away.
My recent takeaway experience from Barton Bangla Brasserie left me truly impressed. From the moment I took my first bite, it was evident that this restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone seeking exceptional Indian cuisine. We had the butter chicken and piri piri chicken with rice and garlic nan. Would definitely order again and sit in the restaurant to eat next time.
Pre ordered and pre paid for a take away collection at a set time it was 30 minutes late with no apology or explanation when get home popadoms were soggy although the remainder of the food was nice this was a very poor experience and I doubt I will visit again either to sit in or take away.
Lovely reception great hospitality, nice beer. Personally prefer a spicy taste, dishes we chose, four of us went were varied but some more sweet than we would normally go for! Wouldn’t hesitate in going back but would avoid the sweeter options. Enjoyable experience, very attentive.
