The Beehive cake was incredible and the bread pudding was superb...both warrant a visit. Rest of the food was OK, but I may be biased over the wait times see below. You might want to check with the server on expected preparation times for each order if you are in a hurry.Unfortunately the service on the one night we went left much to be desired. There were five of us, including kids, and we went there on Feb for a family tappas dinner. Long story short: we left hours later after finally getting our bill and playing at least games of fruit ninja while we waited in between each food order. The owner did his best to apologize at the end of the evening but the reason busier than we thought, etc...

The food at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic and the staff is extremely friendly! I left feeling satisfied and light. They offer many vegan and gluten-free options and the place is very clean. The restaurant takes inspiration from various styles and countries, making it a hidden gem. Their gluten-free muffins are amazing and the owners are very passionate about their business. The ambience, both indoors and outdoors, is unmatched. They have transformed a historic landmark into a beautiful bakery, cafe, and restaurant offering high-quality food at reasonable prices. I highly recommend trying the quinoa bowl without egg and the iced tea. This place is definitely going to be my new favor...
Horrible, horrible service. I had to ask twice to place an order with the waiter. The waiter stood around talking about Spain with customers, like he didn't have five angry tables of hungry diners. I didn't receive any thing more than a glass of water for minutes, and then only because I was pretty vocal that if the food wasn't ready, perhaps they could at least pour the wine. The tables next to us super close had the same experience when they first arrived. We felt invisible. And after complaining, all they did was say sorry...no free dessert or comping of the bill. The next day, I told my friend about it and she said she had the exact same experience there, but she thought the food was ter...
absolutely wonderful eating with the most friendly staff! let me be light and satisfied! almost everything can be made vegan or gluten-free and they are so clean! Influence of different styles and countries this is a hidden gem! their gluten-free muffins are bearable and to die for! the owners are so passionate about this business! the ambiente is inaccessible, both inside and outside! they took a historical sign and made it into a beautiful bakery, caffe and restaurant with the highest quality good for the right price! loved the quinoa bowl (no ei) and the icy tee! that makes that for me! would have five stars if I were allowed! updated by the previous review on 2020-09-07 Book a table now
My new favorite restaurant!Wow, what a find. The combination of food quality and price is unbeatable. While the decor is plain and simple, there's a style to it and the hospitality more than compensates, making this a true neighborhood gem.Having lived in Brussels think Paris I've been missing places like this where simple yet sophisticated food is prepared with artistry and love at casual places. The Basque Boulangerie Cafe is like a Michelin starred restaurant, without the fancy accoutrements or high prices.Everything we got was special and delicious. I can't wait to go back
It was our first time, so we decided to try quiet a few items on the menu! And we were impressed. The presentation of tapas and flavors were great. We sat in the back room used for large parties—added plus—big screen TV. Of course, we ordered and took pastries home as they are known in Sonoma as one of the best! Again, we were pleased. Two favorites—the Gateau Basque and The Beehive, but the other desserts were just as delicious. We want to try dining again and have a family paella night
After reading a previous review mentioning that the staff understood vegan dietary preferences, I was hopeful when I visited the restaurant. However, when I inquired about vegan options, I was told they had a frittata and a breakfast burrito. After explaining that I cannot consume eggs or dairy, they mentioned they also had salads. Feeling confused and frustrated, I decided to leave. Perhaps someone else can provide more information about the restaurant's vegan offerings.
I was thrilled by the previous reviewer who mentioned that the personal knew what was vegan. I went in and asked what their vegan options were. they said they had a frittata and a breakfast burrito. betrayed, I said that I could not eat any ice or milk products and they said they had made salate. I gave up at this point and went, maybe someone else can tell me what is actually vegan there. Book a table now
We decided to try this restaurant because of its menu. It's located in a bakery, which threw us off. There was no one there on a Saturday night and it was odd. The food was ok, but not exceptional
