The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, the young waitresses were very sweet efficient. The drinks were fine although a little on the expensive side. The roast was nice except for the fact that the parsnip carrot were almost rock hard so difficult to cut. This was the same the last time I had a roast. Food was good, venue and location good, wider range of draft beer would’ve been welcome but service was inexplicably bad ; like a bunch of surly teenagers whose last priority is actually talking to customers. I didn’t hear a single please or thank you all night, despite dropping £100+ on drinks and food and using words like please and thank you myself. Maybe learn some manners or don’t work in a pub? It was my birthday, so decided to come here, staff were very attentive and the service was fantastic. Personally I thought Hattie was absolutely incredible, superb service, fantastic smile, really took the time to actually talk to you, and make you feel human, that is a very rare quality these days, and she, I believe is an absolute asset to the company and they are lucky to have somebody of such quality and class Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very enjoyable- excellent choice of food, some first rate cooking, and lovely serving staff who were friendly and attentive without overdoing it. We had time and space to chat without feeling rushed. We were very well hosted, recommended that there was a waiting period, but food arrived earlier than expected. The food was excellent, wine good value. We only visited the area, but if we lived on site, it would be on our list of places to go as the environment is great.

We drove from Cardiff to Bathampton Mill. We were definitely not disappointed. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Recommend this restaurant. We'll be back.

Beautiful ambience and friendly staff. Good selection of beer and wine. The food was good. New manager has brought the incoming standards to a level.
