A well planned stop on the way return to the Bay Area from North Tahoe. Very conveniently located next to Costco, for a gas refill and then plan blissful Indian food after 2 3 days! All food has five options non spicy, mild, medium, spicy and extra spicy? we ordered all mild which was just perfect for our taste buds! They have a huge variety of Biriyani?s which even included the not so common Thalapakatti one with Seeraga Samba rice? The Uvalacheru Goat Biriyani was the best of the lot? they have a few varieties of Dosa as well and noodles which was a fav with the kids in the party! The owner was super accommodative which made our lunch even better!
The best place to eat South Indian food. Ulavacharu Panner Biryani is delicious and delicious and spicy (as I order spicy). Goat dum biryani is great. Natukodi pulusu and Chapala pulusu are very tasty. Please do not worry about the reviews based on the waiting period. You have to evaluate the food. The serving people are very friendly and good. All the great experiences and I recommend this place to our South Indian people.
We live in the East Bay and are fortunate to have some excellent Indian restaurants. Bawarchii was fantastic! The food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. I’ve read some earlier reviews and want to mention that Indian dishes, like naan, should be enjoyed right after they're cooked for the best experience. If you're considering takeout, it’s better to go for rice and curries, as they still taste great after reheating.
Our family came on Saturday, we waited at the table for about no less than 20 min. None of the staff member came to even offer water, they even avoided to make an eye contact. If they were short staff, at the very minimum they could have came told us, that they were running behind. We had kids with us. The only thing they are good at is avoiding customer and making an eye contact.

Excellent food! I had to go in next door after my training because it smelled so good!!! I ordered several dishes to go and wow? absolutely delicious. My husband and I traveled twice to India and have Indian food. This restaurant will now go ours to eat, serve friends at home or just go for us.

The food is really tasty and the service is amazing. The staff is very kind and pleasant. I tried chicken lollipops, shrimp fry, gongura goat curry, fish biryani, mango lassi and they were all yummy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was horrible food where kids were running around the place and shaking our table. The place smelled like body odor and the food can in very small portions. We ordered goat meat and the majority of the meat was fat.

This was our first visit, and the food was outstanding. The service was great as well. I ordered the spicy dosa, which was very hot. We'll definitely be returning!
Loved her garlic nan and butter chicken! Tikka masala is on the sweeter side, but still quite good: will come again.
