The hype is real. First thing you need to know is to grab a number upon entering. It will take time for your number to be called and you?ll have plenty of time to peruse the shop (so many unique cooking items and an impressive wine collection! . Listen for your number and have your order ready. Order it with the works and pick a cheese or your sandwich will be just meat and bread (but honestly even that would probably be bomb . I ordered the ham with swiss, no Mayo and no peppers. The dressing they use is something else ?. I?ve never had anything like it before but it?s delicious and I?m craving it while writing this review. And I?m a picky eater. If you?re in a rush they do have pre-made sa...

The excitement surrounding this restaurant is well-deserved. Upon arrival, guests receive a number and wait for it to be called. While waiting, they're free to browse an array of unique cooking items and an impressive collection of wines. Once their number is announced, diners can place their order and select additional toppings such as cheese or salad for their sandwich. I chose the ham sandwich without mayo or paprika, and I was pleasantly surprised by the delightful dressing it came with. The thinly sliced ham was generously stacked, the dressing oozing from the sandwich, and the bread was just right. A pickle was served on the side. For those who are short on time, pre-made sandwiches ar...

The restaurant was just "okay," and I wasn't particularly impressed. My main issue was that all the ingredients felt equally balanced, making it difficult to take a decent bite of the sandwich with so many fillings inside. There were various types of meat, which was nice, but I couldn't really distinguish between them as they seemed to blend together. The cheese was almost nonexistent, with just one layer that got lost among the other flavors. Additionally, the filling didn't work for me; I found myself wanting to remove it while keeping the rest of the sandwich.

The sandwiches here are unparalleled in the area. Forget Jersey Mike's—this place offers so much more! They have a full market featuring Italian imported goods, along with fresh deli and bakery items displayed above the counter. If you’re new to this place, I highly recommend trying the Godmother sandwich with hot paprika. You can either customize it to your liking or choose a pre-made option to save time. Just a heads-up: it’s usually quite busy during lunchtime, so expect to wait in line. Seating is also very limited. This spot is an absolute must-try! Book a table now

OK but not impressed. Main issue is balance, bread is awesome but hard to bite with full of ingredients inside, many different meats what is great but I completely don't taste difference, all taste the same, just one layer of cheese what is almost invisible among whole taste. Cabbage doesn't work for sure, I would like to remove it but keep the rest in a half.

The godmother sandwich with the works was incredible. Ordered the small sandwich in advance (online) to avoid the long lines, and grabbed a small container of kalamata olives. They accept cash and debit only. About a 20min walk from the Santa Monica pier. Awesome Italian supermarket if you need any groceries.

Probably one of my favorite sandwich places in LA. Usually a good wait time during peak lunch hours. Usually go right when they open or order ahead. My favorite sandwiches are the hot pastrami with the works or the godmother. Also really love the filone loads they have there.

Even though the restaurant was very busy, I was still able to get my handmade sandwich quickly. The service was good and they had a great selection to choose from on the menu.
