I know we can't be the only ex-Pats that miss fish fillet from the north. And it is true that nothing can be found at home here, BUT Bayseas is a decent little substitute. Sea food and soul food, I am 100% back for smashed hacks and greens. Records come out of the pile. If you're hungry, it's 100% on you. I couldn't finish my record. I barely halfway through. The staff was amazing (if it was crushed by Lenten fish Friday demand) and we wanted absolutely nothing. It is not a huge place, so go from peak times when you can or take it to go. There are several places I think but we went to the one in Converse, so I highly recommend that one.
From the moment I walked in the door I knew I was in a special place. The customer service was above and beyond!! The food is out of this World!! The food is REAL and the portions are generous. I meant to take pictures, but it was too good!!! I promise to take pictures next time. This restaurant very unique with a strong sense of family and community. Definitely up there on my list of repeat locations!! You will not be disappointed!!!
What a delicious place to eat. One of the best seafood I've eaten. I had the shrimp and Oyster record. It looked out and smells so delicious I didn't think to make a photo until I was finished halfway. I had so much food that I had to get a left container. It was full and we had to wait, but the food was worth it. I have eaten seafood in the USA and this is the best roasted seafood in San Antonio!! Political and polite staff.
I was impressed by this place. The waitresses were so happy, welcoming and customer-oriented. The place is small, but it was full all the time. My recommendation is the trout and onion rings. Large portions, well cooked and full of taste. Fridays is a popular day. Parking is a little small. This place is a hidden gem in Converse Texas.
