Food was not great. I got the chicken sandwich thinking it would be one similar to Popeyes or any other chicken sandwich. Wound up being two frozen chicken fingers/nuggets on a school lunch style bun with limp shredded lettuce. The herb mayo and pickles were ok but that?s not the main component of a ?King? sandwich. Sweet potato fries were a big portion but were mushy and not seasoned at all. I suggest putting salt and pepper on them, cmon guys. Plantains were also a big portion and were ok, some were burnt/overcooked but overall ok. I put some salt on them too for flavor. Overall my suggestion for you guys is to season your food!! And offer higher quality than what I received. Disappointing...

I stopped by this restaurant for the first time after noticing its name, and I thought, "Why not give it a try?" The chicken was quite good, though it wasn't cut into smaller pieces. The rice came in a separate container and was unsalted, but I didn’t mind that. The fries were on the smaller side, but they made sure to give a generous portion. I ordered the whole chicken, and it was neither dry nor overcooked. Plus, you get three containers, which is decent. The prices are a bit higher than I expected, but not significantly so. I dined at BBQ King once before and had the half chicken with rice and black beans, which was only average. This time, I opted for the seafood combo with rice, and it turned out to be a bad choice! The seafood was overcooked and tough, lacking any real flavor. The rice was mushy and grainy, but the black beans were decent—just slightly salty, though not overpowering. Unfortunately, after trying just one plate, I had to throw everything away. I had given them another chance after my first lackluster experience, but now I've decided to steer clear of this place for good.

I must say, I wasn't particularly impressed with the French fries at BBQ King; they didn't stand out in any way. However, I believe this could be because I had them delivered, and they turned out soggy. On a positive note, I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich, and it was truly exceptional. Remember the frenzy over the Popeyes chicken sandwich a few years ago? This one far exceeds it. It was crispy throughout, and the flavors were amazing. I'll certainly be coming back to explore more of their menu!
First let me start off. I didn?t think their French fries were that great. However that could be because I got it delivered and they were soggy. HOWEVER I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal. Everyone went crazy over thatPopeyes chicken sandwich a few years ago. Well this sandwich blows that one out of the water. It was crispy throughout and theflavors were spectacular. I will definitely be going here again
I've gone there once before and got a half chicken, rice and black beans tray. It was okay. I decided to get the seafood combo with rice. Bad move! The seafood portions were overcooked, chewy and flavorless. The rice was mushy and grainy. The black beanswere tasty.. slightly salty but not overtly. I tossed it all after a plate. A waste. I gave the benefit of doubt after the firstmerely ok tray. I'm done on them. I'll pass.
It's truly a 4.5-star experience! This restaurant is fantastic! We ordered the chicken and pork rib combo, along with shrimp in garlic sauce, and everything was excellent. The seasoning on the ribs was slightly salty, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. The portion of rice and fries is generous, which is a great bonus! I will definitely return to try more items from the menu!

Wow!!! I absolutely loved the BBQ chicken and the fresh-cut fries... everything was incredibly delicious!!! We ordered the skirt steak for my daughters, and it was cooked to perfection... and they are the pickiest eaters! The staff was friendly and very attentive. I can't wait to order again!!!
