One star is too many. Food does not compare to shah abbas or any other local Persian restaurants in Finchley Hendon. Even though the food was subpar, we decided to be nice and pay service charge, however we did not expect to be overcharged £10. When pointed out on original receipt the waiter went to the till and returned with a higher bill and items that we did not eat or order. He then proceeded to scrunch up the original receipt and went to pocket it laughing at us ignoring everything we had been saying. I’ve visited the restaurant many many times.with my friends.The food is always so tasty and such a good portion.But the service has never been friendly and in no way warm and welcoming .The staff just do the absolute minim in the way of customer service .They take the order ,bring the food and bring the bill and that’s really it .Yesteday I visited again with my friends and waited to be seated At least 3-5 minutes.Absolutely no staff to be seen on the counter or restaurant floor but a few seated customers.A few minutes later a smartly dressed man that had been eating on one of the tables served us.No apology and no acknowledgement whilst he was eating .It turned out there were three staff ac...
24. Chello Kebab Koubideh Two skewers of minced baby lamb, served with grilled tomato. Served with salad and your choice of bread or saffron rice. when the food arrived the kebabs were laden with peppers which are not specified on the menu as above. as a large family we have never experienced this and no other order we have placed any where does this putting of capsicum on food. our family is allergic to peppers and when we addressed it with the restaurant they said we should have mentioned allergies, but why is there no warning on their menu. they said that they cook everything inclusive of peppers. we had to put £400.00 worth of food in the bin. a disgrace, Health and safety need to visit...
If you have a reservation at Beheshte Barin, make sure to double check the location as there are multiple branches. We ended up at the one in Whetstone instead of the one near Ballards Lane. Despite it being a public holiday, the restaurant was fairly empty, so kudos to them for staying open. The food was average, with the large platter of mixed kebabs being too much for the three of us to finish. The kebabs were a bit dry for my liking, leaning more towards the Iranian style rather than the juicier Turkish kebabs that I prefer. Service was hit or miss.

Great food, decent price but waiters are a bit rude. I have been going to this place since it opened. Usually all is well. I love Persian food especially chello Kebab kobida. This time I visited in July 2021. What I discovered to my surprise was a bit of penny pinching whereby the cheaper meals on the menu seem to run out like chello Kebab kobida ... .. But if you order the next dish up (which is the same but with an additional meat steak and a chello Kebab kobida) its miraculously available... This is type of penny pinching is really annoying
The restaurant offers delicious food, especially their amazing bread, in a pleasant atmosphere. Be sure to try their bread and various starters. The only drawback is the limited vegetarian options for main courses, but there are plenty of vegetarian starters available.
These guys don’t have a clue ! Awful food, amateur service- this was dinner at the whetstone location, and a terrible waste of money and an evening! It’s tough writing such a negative review, but this is real rubbish.
We had 2 really excellent meals; lamb kebab and chicken. Helpings were so large we've taken away a lot, enough for 2 subsequent meals, and very tasty. We're certainly planning going back.
