We had ordered the grazing plate, the skewers and their signature rice dish and within literally 5 minutes the waiter had all three dishes in front of us. From the gorgeous interiors and the prices on the menu, we were expecting the dishes to be of a tapas like portion, meant to order several quantities of to fully enjoy with a larger group of people (there were only two of us) but what came were two large wooden boards with a colourful array of meat and vegetables beautifully charred chicken, lamb and beef, sides of crunchy carrot and red cabbage, cauliflowers and dips galore that were all so perfectly quantified that we managed to finish everything without feeling bloated or needing more....
The restaurant has a modern decor with an Egyptian theme and is located among other modern themed restaurants. The service was excellent, as they accommodated my party of two vegetarians and two omnivores by allowing us to order the $50 banquet menu with options for each dietary preference. This allowed us to enjoy a variety of dishes and try a wide selection of different foods.
The food at Bekya is my kind of food: fresh and flavoursome. It’s family recipes that have been created with a special touch. It’s beautiful food that you don’t see at a food court or your local kebab takeaway. The highlight for me was their kibbeh and the Egyptian falafel. Try stopping at one! #bekya #tramsheds
Service was good.However, food wasn’t.Kafta, chicken and meat tasted processed and lacked flavour and freshness.Dips were okay nothing special or standout.Tabouli was awful; might as well eat a bowl of quinoa.For the Lack of variety on the menu, each dish should’ve been perfected and unfortunately it wasn’t.

Warmly greeted with great service our waitress was very attentive and kept our drinks full. I've never had good middle eastern food until now it was absolutely divine! We need a place like this on the Gold Coast. Wish we had room for dessert as they looked delicious
One of the best venues at the Tramsheds, been here a couple times, and it never disappoints, the service is good, the food is delicious and fast. We did not have to ask for water, the waiters are very attentive. Definitely be back during my next visit.
Amazing vegetarian food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Friendly staff and great ambience. Probably one of the best middle eastern places I have eaten at. Will be coming back to dine here again! :
Amazing food and wonderful service... even our usually picky 4 year old finished her plate! ... the Kibbeh was a highlight! We will definitely be back soon!
