We visited the place at November 2014.We paid for an entrecôte with french fries and "fresh vegetables" more than 40 Swiss Francs (excluding the drinks, just the meal...)The entrecôte was ok, the fries were'nt home-made (what i would expect for that Price...) an the vegetables where just convenience-food from the fridge.We complained. The waitresse told us, that the vegies should be fresh... - the chief told us afterwords, that he bought the vegies from "the best trader..."No word of "sorry" and no coffee/dessert for free as i would expect it...we decided to take the dessert at the murset restaurant - a good decision...Since then we never visited the place again. We went for dinner as a couple and were positively satisfied. The service is polite, competent and quick. The food was very tasty and nicely arranged. The ingredients were, at least in our dishes, friim a high quality.The only small minus: Don't sit next to the stairway in winter, as there is a cold draft coming down the stony steps.
Super essen, Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Unser dessert wurde leider aufgrund der hohen Besucherzahl vergessen, nach einem Hinweis hat man sich aufrichtig entschuldigt und einen sehr feinen Grappa aufs Haus spendiert. Aus unserer Sicht vorbildlich. Wirklich tolles Restaurant, jederzeit gerne wieder. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert
Das Essen ist nach wie vor erstklassig. Urs macht einen Superjob als Gastgeber... Und last not least die Weinauswahl machen es einem leicht wieder zukommen. The food is still first class. Urs does a super job as a host... And last but not least, the wine selection makes it easy to come back.

Brilliant food they served, the staffs were friendly but could be better as professional. The prices are in the mid-range. I have been there once, but like to go again in the near future. It is the place you need to book the table first. Certainly worth to go.
That's what I was missing in Aarau: A nice Restaurant with terrific food. I like the look with the green plants at the walls. This to make it less noisy. Some people find it a bit noisy, I don't, I can release that.
Nice restaurant with Italian food, friendly staff,delicious food with nice wines also the circumstance was really good for the warm Silvester 2015,you need to pre book online before you go!
