Mixed results from last visit, sat at the bar with hubby and ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers. Veggies spring rolls were both overcooked on the outside and gummy inside so I 'm guessing they were cooked from frozen in too high a temp. The onion rings were tasty with a nice spicy sauce. The bartender was testy, when we asked if there any dinner specials all she said was 'not till 5 pm '. It was 4:05 so we might have stuck around had she shared that evening 's specials. Maybe she just wanted to hurry up and finish her shift, as she mentioned several times. They do have a delicious liver and onions so we 'll just stick to that the next time we are in the mood for it.
I was dining there and ordered the whole belly clam dinner.. I felt the clams were dry, and did not have much flavor, but the worst thing was there tartar sause… I did not order a cup full of mayo.. it was so gross, I couldn’t use it with my dinner but the worst thing was I ordered a extra tartar sause and there was a $1.00 up charge for it!! The server did not tell me of the upcharge for it and I was not happy about it, and when I said to the server how I received two cups of mayo and did not use it, he could have cared less! ! So, I was not happy with his reaction, I wished he said something and took the upcharged off my bill… I just hate getting ripped off!!
Food was decent. Service was good. Drinks were great! Cons: Food was lukewarm, so salty I got an instant headache (teriyaki chicken and blackened chicken) and we (9 of us) asked for water to dilute the salt. The food could have better presentation. A little garnish to add some green. You could tell they were trying though. I eat with my eyes first. I love to see a colorful plate. Chicken was dry. Beef was overdone when asked for medium. Pros: Large portion sizes and fair prices! I enjoyed the calamari and the eggplant. Lots of parking. Dining in and out. Conveniently located off the highway. Good service. Table was ready for us. Many seafood and pasta options.
I rarely give 5 stars this place was so close to getting them! The food was delicious and there was so much of it. We brought home more than half of what we ordered! The crab cakes were fat, large, and had a great taste. We are coming back!!
