We arrived there, its a pretty good view but the service was kinda lousy. The restaurant looks pretty and all but we didn’t get past the salad… We ordered our drinks, a pre-meal (Falschi Schnegge) and salad. We also ordered our Meal, but we went home before we got it. We sat there waiting for almost 2h and when we wanted the bill the waiter thought we were joking. We had to ask him a second time, after that he came back saying our food was ready… we still payed and left. It 's a very expensive place as well, but you 're not getting the money’s worth in food to be honest.The waiter was very nice all though he maybe could’ve sped up the process. We booked the day before and we were excited to eat and have good time on top of that hill. The restaurant is nice and has a great panorama. We asked to get the menu after 10 minutes we were waiting. We ordered at 12:45, we waited for more than 1 hour to get the food. They said all the services were having delays. The bill was expensive and they did not applied any discounts for the delay. The food is expensive and we knew it in advance, we were thinking that for a view like it was a deal. Unfortunately the experience was not great. I anyway suggest to go and try, probably it was simply bad luck.
Lovely restaurant above Basel perfect for a quick getaway at the weekend. Nice view and great food. I had the piemontese tartar which was outstanding great simple ingredients without all the sauces etc. Nice place with kids they have a slide plus a coin operated horse and Tractor (bring 1 chf coins). Plus the Spielwiese is a 5min walk away. We enjoyed our food and some wine while the kids played which was fab. If you are without kids just ask for a table away from the slide! Service was attentive and friendly. No complaints at all!
We had a lovely dinner with our three kids. We parked the car at the parking at the bottom. We had a lovely hike of 30 minutes through a beautiful gorge and finally reached the restaurant. We had a table on the covered terrace with an amazing view. Great service and the food was delicious. Definitely a place to go.
