far up in thüringerwald, on the large island mountain is this traditional mountain guest house. above all the rennsteigstube with the flue stove I find lauschig. I can recommend the gas house for both main meal times (e.g. knock with roulade and red herb, raw with kartoffelbrei and sour herb, as well as for coffee-rinks and cake food (home baked poppy cake!) I always tasted the tourist salt, I had to put the prices there.
Unfortunately no more recommendation. Nothing remembers the former friendly service and excellent food. Has come down to the completely overpriced SB restaurant with these annoying food detectors. Little selection, inappropriate prices. It's a pity that this traditional place has gone this way. The cleanliness and ambience are positive. Hopefully there's a reversal otherwise many guests were just here once!
Not recommended, unfortunately you need to give a star, even it is not worth it. You will not be served or receive an answer if you ask something as soon as older people ask something, they will be answered... If you are over 70 years old, obviously ok, but with a family up there you are not welcome, you will be ignored and feel undesirable.
Christmas dinner in self service. Sounds unusual, it's also... but to accept because of the current situation. On the other hand, we were personally disappointed by food itself. Christmas should taste differently and the plates should be more loving. Otherwise, please recommend for hikers, but a diner cannot be expected there. Book a table now
Unfortunately, only self-service, but with the skill shortage everywhere, this is no wonder. The food is still good. There are also delicious cakes and ice cream. And the view is always beautiful. Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic, Quiet
