Drei Wanderwege gibt es auf den Pfaffenstein. Es gibt den bequemen, Weg, den durch den Klammweg unter dem Fallbeil hindurch und den Weg durchs Nadelöhr mit über 600 Stufen. Manch einer kommt da ins Schwitzen. Welch ein Glück, dass es oben die Berggaststätte gibt. In der typischen Ausflugs-Architektur steht das Haus seit 1891, dreizehn Jahre später kam ein Aussichtsturm hinzu. Beides ist erfreulicherweise noch in Betrieb und wurde auch in den 90er Jahren renoviert. Ein kleine Fossilien-und Geologie-Ausstellung ist mit im Haus und einen Biergarten gibt es auch. Der helle Gastraum in freindlichen Farben ist schlicht mit alten Holzmöbeln und einer umlaufenden Holzbank und Filzkissen. Als Wandere...

Prices are equal to the costs, as there is no charging cable car nix here. It tasted very good. For the unintentional Nörglers: part of the forest here is burnt down this year, not least this also depends on oversized carvings... In this way nature will adapt to you! Hier in der Gegend veganes Essen zu bekommen ist nicht leicht. Um so begeisterter waren wir hier oben nicht in den üblichen Bratwurst/Pommes Dunst gehüllt zu werden. Kein Fleisch auf der Karte, alles vegetarisch, z.T. Mit veganen Optionen. Alle heißen und kalten Schokoladen sowie Kaffeevariationen auch mit Soja/Mandelmilch... allerdings sind die verwendeten Schokoladen nicht vegan. Und lecker war’s obendrein. Die Preise sind allerdings Berghüttenpreise. Die Portionsgrößen sind OK. ERGO: Empfehlenswert.
although the personal was friendly, eating was very expensive and didn't taste good. it is mainly because it so overloaded with salt and garlic it is all we could taste! how literally 2 hours later and everything I can smell is garlic. there was a good choice of vegetarian options mainly stew and pasta, some of which could be veganized. also just to be clear, they have to climb the paw stone to get to the restaurant. that is 434.6m to restaurant!

getting here in the opposite vegan food is not easy. so much more enthusiastic we were not covered here in the usual Bratwurst/pommes dull. no meat on the map, all vegetarian, sometimes with vegan options. all hot and cold chocolates as well as coffee variations also with soy/skin milk. the chocolates used are however not vegan and delicious it was above. the prices are however mountain cottage prices. the sizes are ok. ergo: recommended.
I appreciate that they offer vegan options in an area where this is not only an exception, but where sometimes people actively fight vegan offers. We had a veganized salad and the vegan lentil soup, juice and a vegan hot chocolate. Nothing special though and the dishes actually were just „versions without“ (animal products). Staff was quick and friendly.
