This mountain restaurant is a 1hr 25min walk up from Saas Fee or a 15 minute walk down from the top of the Plattjen gondola lift in the summer, or a 1 minute ski down from the top of Plattjen in winter. It is only open lunchtime and afternoon. Stunning views across to the Dom mountain and the Saas valley below and its terrace is a sun trap. Menu is limited but reasonably priced. I had the spicy steak tartare with toast and salad (SwFr 23,) an unusual dish, but easily the best dish I've ever had in a mountain restaurant. Friendly efficient service. Doesn't take reservations in the summer which means it's a bit of a lottery as it's quite small (not sure about reservations policy in the winter....
the cottage is really nice and cozy! the ambiente is not transferred to the personal, the prices and the mood!Arrogantes staff, which is permanently in the room but sits with handy and tee on the side table. the hut was completely empty and in the high season at midday. it was cold and the staff was very unfriendly. probably it is frustrated that the hut was so empty, but so quickly nothing will change, I guess. it is very bad that such a rustic hut disqualifies by bad employees/owners. not recommended!
do not go there when they expect a friendly service! they will be disappointed. overwhelmed unfriendly staff that responds irritated if you want to order or pay. the intention of the mountain weighs this but. pity that the service may not keep. prices for drinks rather high, but the wall up to entertain this restaurant is high by the location on the mountain!
the new native pächter with a lot of experience in this industry make it just great.The kitchen is sensational good you get from the noble bark statue to the tomato or cheese foondue all that the heart desires. the service is fast and friendly.A visit is definitely worth it. when starting from the platetjenstation just keep right and then you can't miss it.

.was unfortunately not exactly intoxicating. the location and the view of the mountain restaurant is simply fantastic. But if you have to wait 1.25 hours for the food and a coffee, the good intention does not really help anymore. It should be noted that on the terrace only 6 tables are to be managed. anyway, the food that was served was good.
Finding on the slopes a nice place where you are served in a quantity of quality food is rare.Although the building is not very beautiful, the credit cards are refused and even a water carafe is paid.Very nice view of the valley and pleasant smiling welcome.
Very slow service. Food fairly average, but location lovely. Pricey. Menu a litter restricted for a light lunch. Few potions at the right price.
Comparatively good price, fast service and the best food in the slopes! lovely ladies who, with a brilliant mood, served us almost daily.

Even on rainy days you can go up there and the kids are busy there. Good food and healthy things for the kids.
Don't go unless you want to spend the day. Overflowed personnel. On the other hand, food is good.
