Lunched at Besk with family. It is very easy to get to by car or train. The decor is simple, with a variety of seating and tables and is clean and well presented. The bar is central creating a U shaped eating and drinking area around it and the open kitchen is tucked in behind the bar area. The menu is not overcrowded and lends itself to share plates or individual dishes. We ordered a variety including gnocchi, potato croquettes, bang bang chicken, beef Tartare, chips and broccoli. All dishes were very tasty. The beer is centred around craft brands and were very pleasant including the dark ales. We held a work function in the basement section of Besk. The selection of platters and canapés that we ordered were delicious. We were well staffed for our function. Kudos to Bridget who was attending to the bar that evening, she was patient and prompt and a superstar!
Excellent wine, great service. Standout dishes are the Bang Bang Chicken, and the tartare.
