This place screams authenticity and there really isn't a better word for it. You are shoulder to shoulder with all the locals who know about this gem and it's always so crowded for good reason. The wait stuff is incredibly friendly and QUICK. The prices are almost too good to be true, and the portions are more than filling. Everything tastes fresh and I highly recommend the juices.

I've got a scorching and without asking if they packed it. felt terrible to throw so much plastic for a small cup supp. Maybe they have to sit down and hope someone takes their order when they intend to dive. also comes with challah brot, which is not vegan. I have to ask for everything and what is it that they call themselves vegetarian when they serve fish?

One of my favourite places to eat in Manhattan. Food can be hit or miss (my matzo brei was a little bland last time) but the amazing staff and friendly, comfortable vibe more than make up for that. Blintzes and knishes are also a highlight and the fact that almost everything is veg (aside from some fish dishes) is a huge bonus.

I've been coming to B&H for as long as I've been frequenting New York and it's a rare gem. The food is great but everyone who works there really cares and make such a difference in people's day when they stop in. 10/10, get the split pea, challah grilled cheese, latkes, and egg cream! I want to come here for everyday and try all their food. Highlights are the matzo ball soup, cheese blintz, and white fish sandwich. I really want to try the pierogis and borscht. Not much room, so highly recommend getting in early on a weekday.

I enjoyed the split pea soup and stuffed cabbage. The boiled potato pierogis didn't come out great, I was disappointed, they are not worth the price they are asking for.
