What stands out the most is that their meat actually has flavor! My family has loved this chain for decades, and as we’ve gone around the country and tried other BBQ we’ve realized that Big Jake’s is our go-to. Other restaurants focus on their sauce to add flavor and moisture to the meat, while Big Jake’s meat is honestly good by itself. Speaking of sauces, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Each has their own selling point but they are all excellent. The complimentary beans are also great!
Updating my review, the food is still excellent but the prices have not changed and the portion size definitely has. We haven't been in a while because we couldn't afford it and, when we did today, we got about half as much food as we used to.
1. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. 2. I really enjoyed the food. Didn't have to wait long for it. We got a little bit of everything. Would go back.
