Big Jay's has now become my mother's go-to place for Fried Buffalo Fish, Sweet Potato Pie, and Old-Fashioned Hard Cinnamon Candy Apples. The food was perfectly seasoned, the portions were generous, and the prices were extremely reasonable. On top of that, the service was excellent. It's family-run, and you can see that they truly care about providing quality service and great food! As long as my mother is happy and satisfied, that's all that matters to me. So, I give Big Jay’s a solid 5 stars every day!
First time here I had the 5 wings and fries and Wels-Nuggets. Yes Chicken was hot, but it was just not really good I had much better chicken at Schnucks. The Wels Nuggets were also very hard, could not even taste the meat in them. Yes I will not give them any further attempt, very disappointed. Foods are not so expensive, but overall they have ruined my first experience and will not be back.
Very good food , very affordable pricing. Best place for your bang for the buck experience. I have not found one place in this city like this , it 's amazing. There is a line during lunch on weekdays but that 's cause they are so amazing, so I completely understand

I ordered the lemon pepper chicken, and it was a poor choice! The chicken was tough and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I ended up throwing it away and getting something from another place instead. I won't be returning.
I absolutely love Jay's! This is my top spot for fish and shrimp. My co-workers are just as obsessed with this place as I am. Big Jay has never disappointed me. Food: 5/5!
