A lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends, the food was excellent, surrounds amazing, enhanced by great decor of tasteful Christmas touches. This place had the feel of a fantastic country pub, the service was fine as well. So what took the polish off my visit, as everything I’ve said so far has been positive? There are a couple of things that’s left a bad taste in my mouth; the first is the price, obviously you expect to pay for quality, however, I feel that this particular ‘bird’ was taking a bit more seed than it needed. I was charged £4 for a pint of blackcurrant and soda, with ice admittedly, however I felt it was extortionate, I might as well of had an alcoholic drink for those sort o...
Over the years we have been to the owners various establishments and have been very impressed with their high standards food, friendly service and cleanliness and yesterday, yet again we were not disappointed. The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our venison roasts, absolutely delicious, followed by superb apple crumble. To keep going with such excellence is no easy feat and we highly recommend a visit.
Attentive Excellent service from the moment you arrive. A lovely country restaurant with accommodation. The food was excellent Prawn Cocktail, Chilled Smoke Trout for starters followed by a Sunday Roast of Pork with all the trimmings. Dessert Apple Crumble with Custard and Chantilly Cream. Wine Excellent Malbec. Loads of car parking toilet’s immaculate. We will be back!
Short break with friends for a visit to Christmas at Blenheim Palace for which the hotel was well suited. Large well appointed double room with en suite facilities and good wifi. The rooms are separated from the pub so we’re nice and quiet. Food was very good but a bit on the pricy side. Good selection of drinks. Breakfast was excellent.

Had an amazing meal at a reasonable price. I had the steak burger with friend and homemade slaw it was delicious. Our Waiter was really friendly and attentive I can totally understand why they are top on trip advisor, so refreshing to actually pay for a meal these days and have such a good standard. Highly recommend thanks guys
Arrived on a very busy Saturday evening. Considering how busy the restaurant was we had excellent service with a smile from start to finish. Food was top quality especially the scotch egg and arancini starters. We are all looking forward to returning soon.

Outstanding food, service and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Fillet steak was amazing Share a dresser they are rich, beautifully presented and tasty. Worth the money for a lovely evening
