I apologize for not taking any photos of our meal, but it was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the chicken wings while my partner had the tenders. We also sampled nearly all the sides, and each one was delightful. The sweet potato casserole was among the best I've ever had—if not the best—and that's a high compliment! The chocolate pie was also amazing. However, I did experience an issue with being double charged, and I’ve had trouble reaching someone by phone to resolve it. While the staff was friendly, the service fell a bit short in this regard. It was quite busy, which is understandable after church on a Sunday.
I can't believe I only just discovered this place! The meat-and-three options are excellent. They also run the Hattie B's hot chicken locations, but we opted for something milder and went with the chicken fried chicken and regular fried chicken. Both were moist, tender, and crispy. The sides were great as well—especially the carrot soufflé, which was amazing! The banana pudding was pretty good too. I highly recommend this place; it's definitely made it onto my list of favorite restaurants!
I tried the stuffed green pepper while my wife had the smothered pork chop, and both were fantastic. Each day features a different meat, and all options are delightful. The cheesecake is absolutely heavenly, and the banana pudding is so good it might make you want to slap your grandma! At around $12 per person, this quality meal is incredibly affordable—definitely underpriced for what you get.
This restaurant is undoubtedly a local favorite. It’s always bustling, and the staff does an amazing job of promptly delivering your food. Everything is consistently fresh every time you visit. The meat and three at this restaurant are simply outstanding. It’s a no-frills, cafeteria-style eatery that keeps things simple, letting the food shine. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and have never been let down. My top pick is the hot chicken, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the options. Make sure to try the carrot souffle—it’s a true delight!
The food was just average. The mac and cheese had a chalky texture, and the cornbread was dry and crumbly in an unappealing way. I ordered a meat and three sides, but one side was completely forgotten. Additionally, the mashed potatoes came without the gravy we requested.
Place is great. The banana pudding is my favorite. Love the hospitality from the staff. Prices are reasonable for the amount that you are getting. Meat and 2 sides with dessert and a drink sets you back about $17. I'm craving to come back here for their food!
