Bistro 197 has two very different personalities regarding its interior architecture elements. The left side is brighter traditional bistro feeling very open, the right side is warmer, intimately raised bar feeling, with two TV plays a mix of sports ball pro-wrestling. The staff is friendly. Our server has forgotten my wife Serrano Peach Paprika Martini on my wife to take my dinner order of my friend dinner again later with an apology to take her. Expect a fresh, playful, tasty craft cocktail program with fresh shrimp delicious ingredients. There are New Old World wines for many meals occasions, including some local CNY wines. The beer cider list is varied leaner on regional New England craft...
I was hesitant to try this place because I'm not a mushroom fan, and for a while it seemed like many of their dishes equipped with mushrooms. I met a good time with in-season food that I knew I would like to and took the dive. The food was amazing. My mother, who is hard to please, said the burger she had was the best she ever had. My Mac and cheese were fabulous. And the drinks! You were unbelievable. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. Keep the rotating menu of your eyes and visit again!
I'm glad we found this place. It quickly became one of our favorites. Everyone who works there welcomes very friendly. Really good local live music talent the food here is AMAZING... made from scratch to wait. The drinks are also some of the best in town...with very creative names I could add; .
Brunch is phenomenal! You turn through the menu, but highly recommended, start with the Moimosa flight. Ask Emily as a waitress so attentive and only a nice person. Live music often adds a beautiful ambience. Very recommended and will plan to come back!
