I visited this restaurant on Friday, October 18th. I was disappointed to find out that they do not open for breakfast at 9:00am as advertised, but instead at 11:00am. Due to this, my party ended up going to a cafe called Gallery Cafe for a ham and cheese croissant instead. Many other potential customers, like us, were walking away after looking at the menu and finding out about the late opening time. When we returned for lunch after exploring the exhibits, we encountered long queues. It seemed like the management needed to take note and improve the efficiency of service to accommodate the demand. Only one staff member was serving hot and cold food, while another member was responsible for te...

In a city full of first class inexpensive eateries the 401 Bistro falls into the category of overrated burger stalls. I had the chicken dinner, which was surprisingly lukewarm. Roasted, mash potatoes and vegetables were mediocre. The chicken cold and gravy from a packet. My partners burger came complete with wilted and browned lettuce. The fries, were burnt cold crips. Nothing is freshly cooked and complaints receive no feed back. This overrated and at £30.00 for two meals, a cup of tea, a coke served withoput a glass, ice or straw, take a walk into town and have something fresh!
We ordered the fish and chips and while the coating was a great crunchy and good flavor the fish had a fishy taste unlike other places all over Ireland where we tried this entree. The chips are large cut French fries I would have preferred to be about half that size. Also tried the meringue is was very good. Crunch on the outside and soft in the middle and topped with great meringue Beware if you order mussels, my friend ordered them and it took over 45 to get them.
After completing the trip around the museum we landed here for a later lunch. With a choice of sandwiches as well as hot and cold options and hot, cold and alcoholic beverages we enjoyed a relaxing break before moving onto SS Nomadic. Both choices were enjoyed with the chosen side dishes and washed down with an ale and pot of tea. Located on the ground floor across from the gift shop. Book a table now
We had our lunch here before visiting the museum. It is a convenient location but it is expensive. The food was good though, we had soups and our daughter had fish and chips. The service was good and the place was clean.
Unfriendly people. Not helpful while choosing food. Food was average. Overpriced. Waiters twice tried to take my plate while I was still eating. Need better choice of food and better service.
We dined at the Titanic museum and were pleasantly surprised. The food exceeded our expectations for a museum restaurant. The wait in line was quick and efficient.
So as the title says it’s expensive and quite basic, cakes look good but I certainly would rave about the hot food, it’s just ok. I probably wouldn’t hurry back Book a table now
Bistro 401 is the restaurant inside the Titanic Experience. It's a fast food cafeteria type of restaurant. I had some Chinese food and Joyce had a salad.
The restaurant has counter service and is a convenient option with ample seating. It's a fast place to eat before heading to the museum.
