We hope our very bad experience was an exception for this well rated place. The service was very slow and the waiters seemed to be either very tired or inebriated. One of the waiter kept pouring regular water in the glasses used for sparkling water, the wine glass we ordered arrived 15min after when we checked for it. The food quality was really bad: undercooked foie gras charged $19, overcooked sea bass charged $26, salmon plate drown in lot of oil and with a plastic taste, bread with mold...
We had an early reservation and were surprised that this restaurant had very few patrons. We enjoyed sitting on the banquette. The service was quite attentive. The food was absolutely fantastic. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked and the sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The recommended bottle of wine also was a perfect choice. Highly recommended for French food and a perfect for a date at a cafe.
Cool relaxed atmosphere. Authentic casual Bistro food, with an amazing presentation. Food was outstanding. Stuffed Quail over the top! Rib eye, grass fed, wow! Oxtail ravioli so flavorful! Escargot, a must. Extensive French wine and cocktail list. Fun bar scene, while small, seems like a local hang out. Lovely unobtrusive service. Don't miss one of the desserts. Well worth it. Highly recommended.

This charming little Bistro is in the old colonial trading area of Richmond. Food is excellent and just an all around great place.
The food was excellent!!! I had the rabbit and while I was happy with what I ordered, my wife's lamb three way was outstanding!
