One of the finest lunches I ever had in my life. A small restaurant in a charming old village about 10 km from town Aubenas in Ardeche. Tartare de boeuf was astonishingly good; I did not know what were the secret ingredients, but it was fresh and full of harmony of flavours. The milky taste of lightly roasted veal was contraposed by a smoky (just a tiny bit smoky) sauce I would never dream that this combination could be so effective and exciting and it was served on a bed of chef's special condiment, which made the dish even richer in flavours.
