Every time we came to Vaison-la-Romaine and ask the locals for recommendation, we heard of this place. So we went. To be brief, it deserves the reputation. Very fine dining experience in all sense! We particularly enjoyed the fish and saint jacques, and the tropical...dessert. One suggestion, though: one amuse-bouche was made with topinambur... I have a problem digesting it so I didn't take (although it looked really nice! . Apparently this vegetable is rather known for such a particularity, so it may be a good idea to ask guests if they have an issue...?
on a two-week holiday in vaison la romaine. managed to book for a birthday party on the morning through the old medieval city, they were us on the table of eight outside as they were fully booked. service was amazing, polite., helpful and very professional. but eating was on another level, not much to choose from on the different menus, between us we had all dishes. our taste buds exploded, each cure each dish exquisitely prepared and delicious. probably the best restaurant I was in.
Hands down our favorite meal from our week in Provence, and this includes visiting a michelin star restaurant! We ordered the 3 course pre fix for 42 E, which ended up being about 7 courses with all of the extra amuse bouche they included. One surprise...extra course after another, all of it beyond delicious. The surroundings were also beautiful old stone, lovely. Service was great, playful, relaxed. Wonderful value and amazing food!! Great wine!!
We had not been back to the Bistro for far too many weeks so we looked forward to dinner there. A really excellent meal and as my friend was eating meat and I the fish we ordered wines by the glass. The red wine was...a revelation and remarkably light and fruity for a wine from Vacqueyras. Lots of delicious 'amuse bouche ' to enhance our appetites. A perfect evening out with excellent and attentive service.

Actually we were in the Grill O which is their new terrace at the other side of the road. Using the roof of a house they created a beautiful new environment that gives you in the evening a breathtaking view on the city of Vaison...while still seeing a beautiful sun down. Food is different from the Bistro and a bit more simple grill like but quality is very good. Service is very friendly.
we ate first in this restaurant 3 years ago when it was still bistro du’o. Since then, the chef has received a Michelin star. in the rule we shy away from Michelin star restaurants because of the cost, but the menu here was cheap. all. the courses were so delicious and beautifully presented. the service was impeccable. I'm glad we saw each other again.
After visiting the wonderful market at Vaison-la-Romaine, 8 of us had lunch at Bistro du'O. The staff were welcoming and friendly. 3 course lunch is €38 however we all felt it was excellent value for the amazing flavours and presentation. We will certainly return.
no quality reduction in this magnificent restaurant. the evening view with a view of the city simply adds us to our pleasure. imaginative and fascinating dishes with excellent service.
