I was in Ottawa 7 days for a conference. I was looking for a Mediterranean place where I could limit the amount of dairy intake, and I was very happy to find Bistro Ristoro. The restaurant, on Clarence Street, is right across from the main United States embassy entrance after Fairouz Cafe. It is a relatively small place, but does offer some outside seating. They have Santorini or Jazz music playing inside, yet the mood is rather quiet. Out of the 7 days, I ate dinner there 4 times. The Picanha steak dish was excellent and reminded me of my grandma's very good cooking; the dish comes with rock salt and cajun spices on the side which I definitely recommend using, but the steak still tastes gre...
