I don't try new cafes very often. We are creatures of habit especially when it comes to coffee but a friend was having coffee at the Black Lizard soon after it opened and called me in. I was pleasantly surprised. It was breakfast time so I tried the Spanish eggs. It's something I like and have tried in other cafes. This version was excellent and my friend trying the Smashed Avo, fashion dish of the moment of course, reported this as good as he'd tried. Coffee was also good. While wandering around, I stumbled upon this place and was drawn in by the pleasant jazz music. After reading the reviews, I decided to try their coffee and I must say, I highly recommend stopping by here. As a coffee addict, I was impressed by the strong, rich, and smooth flavor. The sunny terrace was the perfect place to relax. A great addition to our Balmain village - be sure to try their fresh and delicious muffins! You won't be disappointed.
Fantastic food! Eggs benny one of my new favorites, bread toasted beautiful and crispy and eggs perfect on the outside and in, coffee was good too, had a little issue with the floor being a little bit oily, kind of slippery! Fix that problem and you are A okay in my book. Cheers guys!
Black Lizard's almond milk (Milk Lab) coffees are a highlight of my day! SUCH good coffees. Their food is also great and well-sized. Muffins are delish. And to top it off, lovely staff who go the extra mile to accommodate special requests and look after you. It's our new local.
