Checked in at the hotel and had such a pleasant stay that we decided to try the restaurant (or the bistro part). We arrived slightly before the time of our booking and were greeted in such a grumpy manner by the head waiter that it ruined our evening, despite the numerous attempts of the waitress who tried really hard to Make it up to us. What a pity. Soups were delicious. Main course was over cooked as if it had been reheated somehow.

I had dinner here when I stayed at the hotel. The very good deal I got included a three course dinner with matching home made beers. Great value and good food. Service was nice, but slow. The restaurant is very popular and perhaps they were a little short of staff when I was there.

We had an excellent meal starting with their own beer and then two good local pinot noir. Great friendly service. It’s a whole destination for a weekend. Different parts to eat in with a bar too. Nicely decorated. Quality of food was remarkable.
