Heute suchte ich mit der golocal app dieses Steakhaus, war versehentlich erst bei Jim Block, aber das ist ja die Hamburger Kette, ein richtiges tolles Steak wollte ich. Maredo war auch aufgeführt, aber dann fand ich das Block House gegenüber von Peek Cloppenburg, wo gerade ein Teil des Gebäude saniert, abgerissen wird, somit fiel der Platz auf den Biertischen vor dem Steakhaus aus. Nach Betreten war ich betroffen, der Laden war knacke voll, zwei Paare noch vor mir, ich hatte somit die Nummer 5. We turned up here without a reservation and were seated immediately despite the place being nearly full. Ordered a house steak and a saddle of lamb, the food was excellent and service was very attentive. In terms of presentation its basic, steak and baked potato with sour cream and chives but it tasted absolutely delicious, would definitely return again.
We ate at the Block House on a busy Monday evening. The staff were very welcoming and the service was excellent. Great steaks, good wine and tasty strawberries to finish. All in all, a memorable meal in very pleasant surroundings.
