We dined at this restaurant on Valentine's Day and found ourselves sitting at a table that was uncomfortably close to the couple next to us. We could hear their conversation clearly, even though they were speaking softly. The tables were so closely packed together that I could barely eat without leaning over. It felt crowded and cramped, as if they had squeezed in as many tables as possible to make the most money for the night. Overall, it was a disappointing and somewhat uncomfortable dining experience.
We have visited Blue Toro several times in the past, but this will be our final visit. Although the house margaritas were still delicious and we enjoyed the shrimp ceviche, the two main dishes we ordered were disappointing. The cheese enchiladas were overcooked with dry, hard tortillas, and the pork chop was dry as well. The quality of the mashed potatoes has declined significantly since our last visits. The only highlight of the main courses was the asparagus.
My partner and I went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day. The tables were set so close together that we could hear everything the couples next to us were saying, even though they weren't speaking loudly. The restaurant was so crowded that I could have easily reached over and eaten off their plates. It seemed like they had crammed in as many tables as possible to maximize profits for the night. Overall, it was a dreadful dining experience.
The service at this restaurant is excellent, but the food was disappointing. My wife and I ordered the chicken enchiladas and chicken steak fajitas, but both dishes lacked flavor. While the presentation was nice, the taste did not impress us. We feel that there are similar or better options at larger franchised restaurants that offer better value for the money. Food and drinks are always fantastic! The Jalapeño margarita is a must have if you enjoy spicy drinks. Chips and queso are a great start and the chicken enchiladas with half cheese half enchilada sauce is the perfect dinner. It is a little expensive for mexican food but it is a great way to start a night out in West Glen.
Great happy hour specials! A group of 4 from my job went after work and each enjoyed the margarita flight and an app. I had the taco flight; the carne asada was a bit dry but I enjoyed the carnitas and tinga.
Happy hour margaritas flight was fun! Our table very much enjoyed guacamole and cheese dip. Server was right on in helping with recommendations. Music WAY TOO LOUD!

It was okay for Americans trying to make Mexican food. It’s definitely overpriced for the quality of the food. It was a one hit wonder for me.
