Blue Island Oyster And Seafood

We went for a date night and after we ordered a bottle of wine, side salad, a pasta dish and fish and chips, the bill came out to $132.00 which is a fair price for what we ordered, however our service was lacking maybe because we came in after 8:30 on a week day and the restaurant was winding down. What got me confused was our gratuity was added in already and there was an additional service fee both with tax and fees pushed the bill to over $175.00 which for wine, pasta and fish and chips felt high to us. The menu here is thoughtful and well-varied, so there is a lot to please for every type of appetite. Portions are fair, and the seafood/fish tastes fresh; that includes the oyster menu, which can add a nice variety to your meal options. Servers were friendly and attentive, making it the restaurant an overall good choice for your next outing.

Overpriced mediocre food. Entrees in $50+ realm you would expect creativity and unique flavor profiles. We went three times to try and give this place a real chance. Food is ok but the prices are outrageous. I’ve eaten at cheaper Michelin star restaurants. Watch out for random surcharges and fees as well.

We have been to this restaurant before and always enjoyed it. Tonight was a definite disappointment. Fish was dry, potatoes were burnt, and our food took forever to arrive. seems the menu had changed also.

Food was decent bur staff just seemed they only paid attention to a certain crowd.
