Eat here last evening with a bunch of friends. The building and decor are beautiful- Rustic chic. The food however was terrible...I'll describe the food overall as tasteless and boring. Right from the bread to my duck entree. Also, some of my friends had oysters and they were warm and not served over ice...Our waitress had a great personality but was pretty much absent the whole time.. we waited a very long time to be spoken to at all and then too long for drinks and food. Then when I had problems with my meal she was nowhere to be found to talk to. Not impressed and save you're money people!

This place was recommended by a number of people from across the country when I was making inquiries about St. John's. The experience did not disappoint. The place was jammed full but the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. I had salmon and cauliflower and perhaps the best asparagus ever. The drinks were professionally prepared of very high standard. The place was buzzing but everyone was polite but yet very friendly and talkative and I learned a lot about the city I would not have found out aboiut otherwise. A great experience overall and met some super people in the process.

Very impressive. The salt fish cakes were the best we tasted anywhere in St John's. Scallops were wonderfully cooked, succulent and craftily paired with fresh flavours. Lobster was cooked very well but huge! My personal favourite was the cheesecake, just the right amount of sweet and paired with a delicious, tart berry coulis. Highly recommend this place. Service was upheld to a good standard even after the space became busy later on at night.

We were able to make same day reservations. The restaurant was clean, food was decent, and service was fast. I tried the mussels, perogies, scallops, and lemon partridgeberry tart. Next time I'd like to try the shrimp and Carmel pecan cheesecake! Book a table now

This is not a cheap restaurant, but the standard of food was indeed excellent. Menu is non-standard and all the better for that. Service lacked something as things were forgotten and we had to ask again. Overall definitely recommended.

Had lobster roll toasted just right. Beet salad was delectable. And the wine and the window view of all the happenings on Water Street made for a truly satisfying late lunch. Server friendly and attentive.

Ate in the bar with my husband on a very busy night. Husband had the lamb, I had the duck. Both were cooked to perfection. Friendly, clean and trendy. A great combination for an entertaining evening.
