Blue Ox Pub - Table reservation

The Blue Ox is located 20 minutes east of Vernon, on the Vernon Slocan Highway. That said, this is a fine spot to enjoy a tasty lunch.We stopped in for a mid-week lunch meet up with friends who live in Lumby. The seafood artichoke dip starter was stunningly delicious. With a green salad dressed with goat cheese and sweet strawberries, we were off to a good start. The curried shrimp stir fry was tasty, loaded with crisp, fresh veg and just the right size for a lunch.The show-stopper though, was the burger with jalepeno peppers, oodles of cheese, so much goodness atop a grilled beef patty. We visited once a week for the last 3 weeks. The food is delicious (I try something else every time), the service is great and so friendly. We're coming back!

We were at the motel next door, so that was a great option. We have to say that her frying beef dinner was delicious and more than enough.
