In terms of the side dishes, the potato salad and canned green beans were overwhelmingly flavored by the vinegar from canned jalapeño peppers. My final hope was the cornbread; I had been looking forward to a warm, moist piece brushed with buttery honey, reminiscent of what a Southern cook would prepare. Sadly, the cornbread turned out to be my greatest disappointment—it was cold, dry, and dense, far from what I had anticipated. Overall, the dining experience lacked any sense of care or warmth, which was evident even in the demeanor of the unfriendly manager.
Amazing value! I went for the half pints, and both meats were absolutely delicious. I appreciated being able to mix and match different meats without committing to a full platter. I even had some leftovers! The sauce was fantastic—tangy and full of flavor, unlike anything typical. The cornbread was flavorful, though mine was slightly dry. The key lime pie was tasty, but a bit too sweet for me. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. It’s refreshing to find a BBQ spot that serves incredible food at such reasonable prices.
Pleasant experience overall. The food was quite good, a bit salty, but it’s BBQ after all. I wish I had a clearer understanding of the menu since it was a bit overwhelming with so many words. I asked the staff about the best sellers, and since I don’t eat pork, I chose the chicken platter. It was tasty and satisfying. I’d definitely come back to try the burritos. I wish the clerk had offered that as a suggestion – I probably would have spent more if they had upsold me. Thanks to Boston and Blue Ribbon BBQ!
Boston’s top spot for BBQ! With a wide variety to satisfy any craving, you really can’t go wrong. Their brisket and burnt ends are fantastic, the mashed potatoes are spot-on, the baked beans are truly Boston-worthy, and the cornbread is unmatched. It would be great if they had a bigger dining area, and the portions feel a bit small. The lemonade is also refreshing.
