Well, if ever a coffee shop could make people so unwelcome, this place deserves an accolade!The three of us sat down at a table, with no acknowledgement from the sour faced young waitresses behind the counter who watched us come in.Apart from us, there were only two other tables occupied. That should probably have been a warning sign.The two waitresses, well, their work ethic leaves a lot to be desired. They saw us peruse the menu and kept popping through to the kitchen, with no indication that they would take our order.After waiting for ten minutes, we got up,and left....to be confronted by the same unfriendly glowers that we had met on coming in! Very young group of inexperienced staff who clearly had no guidance from a manager or supervisor . Food was ordinary after a mix up with order and long wait for soup toasted sandwiches. Staff not attentive at tables ,chatting cash point when tables needed cleared customers looking to order coffee after food . Final mix up when paying bill one of us could have left without paying as staff member walked off after 2 of us paid . Lots of compition in Troon so have to be top of game . They are certainly not .
Was in on January 22nd around 1pm with my wife and I have to say the food was really good however the service was very poor, could see the girls sitting in the back playing on their mobiles and when I was trying to look for one of the staff for help, it took me ages to finally get a hold of someone, was very frustrating and very disappointing because it’s a good cage. if this was worked on this would have been 5/5.
Cinnamon scone and fresh black coffee in a comfy chair with a magazine feeling relaxed and ready to take on the rest of the day. This place could very easily become a habit if I let it! Book a table now
Dropped in today for a light lunch and were not disappointed. Nice sandwiches and an excellent side salad... as for the scones as light as a feather. Drinks were quality. Excellent.
What a lovely little tea room. Home made soup and sandwiches just lovely. Scones cakes all home made. Never fails to please us. Keep up the good work. Staff friendly and helpful.
Had afternoon tea and snacks. Quite cramped inside though. Staff were friendly and courteous menu was good and selection of cakes we got were delicious
Food was fantastic service not so much. Would be 5 out of 5 for food. 2 out of 5 for service. So I went safe with a 4. Not a friendly service at all. Book a table now
Beautiful toated cheese scone and coffee. Clean coffee shop friendly efficient staff. Will def come back on my next trip to Troon
