I was really excited to know there was a Boba Guys in the area since I thought it was only in Norcal! Boba Guys is located is a super cute, camp aesthetic plaza. The business itself is more of an order and pick up kind of place since there's no tables/chairs to hang out at (there's only 2-3 chairs at least). With that being said, there are many seats around the plaza to hang out at. They have a pretty diverse menu. I arrived on a Saturday around 3 PM and saw a small line of about 10 people, but ordering was quick thanks to two registers, one of which was cashless. The location is in the CAMP mall, and it's definitely worth grabbing your boba and wandering through the stores afterward.
I ordered a matcha strawberry boba, and it was an incredible combination. I recommend savoring the different layers separately instead of mixing it all together. I opted for oat milk, which perfectly balanced the sweetness.

We were in the area and wanted to try out this boba tea spot. The location itself is open-air and matches the vibe of The Camp, which is a refreshing change from the usual decor of other boba tea shops. You have the option of either ordering from the kiosk or ordering at the counter. The menu itself is extensive and they have a lot of signature drinks. My husband and I ordered the Hojicha Latte with almond milk and boba to share. The Hojicha flavor as strong but it paired well with the neutral taste of the almond milk. The boba was warm and cooked well. We give the drink an 8 out of 10.When we are back in Costa Mesa, we will definitely come back and try out their other flavors.

I sampled a few different drinks during my visit. I started with the sesame latte made with oat milk, but it had an overpowering ginger flavor, even after I mixed it thoroughly. When I returned, the staff kindly offered to make me a new drink, so I chose the rose black tea without milk. While it was decent at first, as I continued to sip, the flavor reminded me a bit of a candle shop. The service was excellent, but unfortunately, the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me. I didn’t feel like I truly got my money's worth, but at least I gave it a shot.
My husband just picked up two boba there, and one of them has 0 boba in it, and he did not say no baba. I tried to call the shop for assistance, but I couldn't find their number on Google. Boba tea has no boba in it? So what's the point?!
Stopped in for a quick drink...berry hibiscus with almond jelly. It was very refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. They have a good selection, I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.
Boba used to be the best but quality has gone down. It was hard and seemed old, like it was saved and refrigerated from another day. It's like any other place now. Tea is still pretty good though.

I ordered the pandan caramel milk tea, and it turned out to be the worst drink I've ever had! The tea was overcooked and extremely bitter, with no hint of pandan or caramel flavor whatsoever.
