A little out of the main town area but well worth extra few minutes drive. The service is very good, the food is delicious and the setting is charming and pleasant with a good atmosphere. Not a huge vegetarian selection but that's Germany generally. The...meat eaters tell me that their dishes are delicious too. The extent of the menu is not large but that at least ensures that the dishes they do make can be good. And every time I have eaten here the food has always been so. They also have a particularly good wine selection with a well stocked bar for aperatifs and after dinner drinks. dont order th pfannchen, everything else is excellent and otherwise very good quality food, regional, with an eye to fresh. American style bar, old wood, dark dining, cozy if you will. eaten here maybe times to include anniversary. wife and i like it alot,...though on the pricey side, but the ambiance and quality is definately worth it. no ac for the summer, so sit outside in such a case, not as nice out there though, very average dining experience in such a case, so best to go when temp is moderate. Pfannchen is an amateur affair, with lower quality ingredients than the rest of the menu and hot and oil being the dominating taste regardless of type
Twice in week I visited the restaurant. The second visit was the result of the first. Excellent food and presentation. The chicken breast and beef filet were cooked to perfection and the quality of the beef filet was wonderful. Chef Hans Schuller has a...wonderful sense of how to create and arrange the vegetables and sauces with each entree'. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable, warm and welcoming! I dined alone on both occasions but observed families and couples appreciating everything as much as myself. Very good prices for the excellent quality of food
